At WildCarob Web Studio, we value honesty, clear communication and professional partnerships. These Terms ensure a smooth, transparent experience from the first wireframe to the final launch. By working with us, you agree to the following terms under Portuguese law.

1. Our Partnership & Scope

We specialize in technical excellence, ensuring your site is built to high standards.

  • Our Role: We handle the development as detailed in your Project Proposal.
  • Your Role: To keep the project on schedule, we ask that you provide all necessary content (text, images, and branding) and all required project details, ideally before the project begins. During development, your timely feedback and responsiveness are essential to maintaining momentum.
  • Compliance: While we implement the technical tools, ensuring your business meets its specific industry regulations and legal requirements remains your responsibility.

2. Project Proposals

Every project begins with a formal Project Proposal.

  • Validity: Proposals are valid for 30 calendar days. After this, we may need to adjust pricing or schedule according to availability.
  • Engagement: A project officially starts once you accept the proposal via email and the initial deposit is paid.
  • Timeline: To ensure accuracy, the project timeline and delivery dates begin only after three conditions are met: the proposal is accepted, the deposit is confirmed, and all necessary content/information has been provided to us.
  • Scope: Only features listed in the Proposal are included. New requests will be quoted separately as “Out of Scope” tasks.

3. Payments & Fairness

We believe in a “pay-as-you-go” approach to protect both parties. Unless stated otherwise in your proposal, our standard structure is:

  • The Schedule:
    • 50% Deposit: To secure your spot in our calendar and start the project.
    • 25% Milestone: Due once you approve the design (before we start building).
    • 25% Final Balance: Due when the project is finished, prior to the site going live or files being transferred.
  • Payment Method: Via bank transfer (IBAN). Any associated bank fees are the responsibility of the Client.
  • Cancellations: If you decide to stop the project, WildCarob retains payment for work already completed. Costs for non-refundable software or licenses purchased for your site will be deducted from any refunds.
  • Late Payments: To keep the studio running, work will pause if invoices are more than 5 working days overdue.

4. Keeping the Momentum

To ensure every client gets our full attention, we ask for active collaboration:

  • Project Delays: If we are waiting more than 7 days for feedback or content, a 10% fee may be added to cover the cost of rescheduling your project.
  • Inactive Projects: If a project is stopped for over 30 days, it will be archived. To restart, a 20% Reactivation Fee applies, and we will find a new slot for you in our next available opening.

5. The “Go-Live” Handover

Launch day is a major milestone!

  • Ownership: You receive full ownership of your website once the final payment is cleared.
  • Legal Compliance: After the site is live, keeping your legal pages (Privacy Policy, Terms) updated to reflect your business changes is your responsibility.

6. Website Maintenance

A website is a living asset that needs regular updates to stay secure.

  • Self-Management: If you do not have a WildCarob Maintenance Plan, you are responsible for updating WordPress, plugins, security certificates, and performing backups.
  • Support: Without a maintenance plan, any fixes or updates requested after launch will be billed as new, independent tasks.

7. Limitation of Liability

We follow industry best practices, but we cannot control the entire internet:

  • Third Parties: We aren’t liable for issues caused by hosting companies, domain registrars, or third-party plugin failures.
  • Liability Cap: Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific project. We are not responsible for indirect losses like downtime or loss of profit.

8. Intellectual Property & Portfolio

We love to celebrate our work! Unless we have a private agreement, WildCarob may feature your website in our portfolio and on social media to showcase our collaboration.

9. Resolving Issues

We work hard for our customers and will always prioritize a friendly chat to resolve any misunderstandings. If we cannot reach an agreement, disputes will be settled in the courts of the district where WildCarob is registered, under Portuguese Law.
